How do I find the multi-day trip that's right for me?

With the help of the filter options, you can easily find the perfect multi-day trip for you from the trips on offer. Simply set the filters that are relevant for you and compare all the offers at a glance.

How do I find the cheapest travel dates?

Go to the trip details and booking page of your desired multi-day trip and click the ‘Customise and book your trip’ button. Then click the ‘from cheapest’ field under the heading 'Choose your departure date' to select the cheapest available travel dates.

How do I book the multi-day trip I want?

Once you've found the trip you want, scroll down to the available dates at the bottom of the trip details and booking page. Here, you can see the prices for the respective travel dates at a glance. Choose your preferred date and customise your multi-day trip in the steps that follow.

Where can I find detailed information about my multi-day trip?

You can find all the useful information about your desired multi-day trip under the point ‘Things to know’ on every trip details and booking page. If you can't find the information you're looking for here, please feel free to contact our trip advisers, who will be happy to assist you with any further questions.

Where can I see what's already included in the trip?

Go to the trip details and booking page of your desired multi-day trip, scroll down to the heading ‘What's included’ and click the point ‘Included’. You'll then be shown a detailed list of everything that's included in the trip price.

What are the items listed under 'Optional'?

All items listed under 'Optional' are not included in the trip price and can be additionally booked if requested. These include, for example, hotel, hire car and board upgrades as well as excursions. Please submit these requests when making your booking. If you want to book one or more of the items listed under 'Optional' after you've booked your trip, please contact us, and we'll check each one to find out whether they're still available.

Can I make changes to my trip?

Yes, if you want to make changes to your chosen multi-day trip, you can do so after selecting the travel date. Depending on the trip, you can select upgrades for hire cars and hotels and add excursions. Meal packages are also often available. Click through the various options until everything is just right and you've customised the multi-day trip exactly how you want it. Still missing something? No problem! Feel free to contact our Customer Happiness Team should you have any other requests.

Can I extend my multi-day trip by adding an additional stay, for example, a stay by the beach?

This is usually possible without any problems. However, we'll need to check the availability of return flights and accommodations first. When booking, simply select the Flex price and enter your requests in the corresponding comment fields during the booking process. Then we'll check whether it's possible to extend your multi-day trip.

What happens once I've booked a trip?

After you've made your booking, you'll receive a booking confirmation with a concise overview of all the information you need. It also lists the payment due dates and information on the deposit and final payment. You'll receive your travel documents about two weeks before the start of your trip. This period may vary for trips booked at short notice.

Do I need travel insurance?

Falling ill right before departure, cancelling your trip due to illness, emergencies during your trip and losing luggage are all unforeseeable incidents that can occur when planning your trip and unfortunately cannot be completely ruled out. To ensure that you can enjoy your predeparture excitement and start your trip without any worries, we recommend that you take out travel insurance.

How is my booking insured?

In most cases, multi-day trips are package trips. This means that you don't have to worry about a thing and you give us full responsibility for your trip and planning it. The best thing about it is that you don't have to compromise on your travel wishes because even though our multi-day trips are all-inclusive, they can be individually customised, meaning you combine individual freedom with security.

With a package trip, you're on the safe side, even in the event of unforeseen incidents. The ATOL certificate covers your travel costs should the tour operator become insolvent. It also covers reimbursements in the event of travel warnings or cancellations issued by the tour operator. Furthermore, when booking with a British tour operator, claims for damages are subject to UK law.

Do I need a visa for my multi-day trip?

You can find information on visas and health on the trip details and booking page of your desired multi-day trip under the point ‘Things to know – FAQS about the trip’. When you book a trip, we'll send you the current entry requirements of the country (or countries) you're visiting. As regards COVID-19, changes may be made at short notice. Therefore, please check the current regulations on the FCDO's website prior to departure.

If you're a citizen of any country other than the UK, please also check whether you're eligible to apply for a visa at your desired destination.

How far in advance should I book my trip?

The earlier, the better. Multi-day trips are usually booked three to nine months before the date of departure. The time frame can of course vary depending on personal circumstances. However, the longer you wait to book the trip you want, the more likely it is that the available spots on your preferred date will already be booked out, as the quota is usually limited. Nevertheless, you can of course also book at short notice and view the remaining available spots on a daily basis.

How can I redeem my voucher for my booking?

Simply enter your voucher code into the voucher field during the last step of the booking process, just before completing the booking. The amount of the voucher will then automatically be subtracted from the total amount.

Can I book a seat for my flight?

Unfortunately, we cannot book specific seats for you. However, as soon as online check-in for your flight opens – usually 23 to 48 hours before departure, depending on the airline – you can choose from the seats still available free of charge. Please note that the selection may be limited at this point.

Alternatively, you can book a seat directly with the airline for an additional charge. If you've booked your trip with our Smart rate, you can request your flight information from journaway immediately after booking. You can then use this information to log in to the airline's website and book seats or upgrades for an additional charge. If you've booked with our Flex rate, this is only possible six weeks before departure after the trip price has been paid in full.
